When I begin working with you I will bring ideas if that is needed, but ultimately it’s just to get to know what you like and don’t like better. Custom woodwork is really only limited by budget and available raw materials. I have relationships with suppliers that can accommodate just about any request. I will often encourage the use of local hardwoods for practical reasons and to reduce environmental impacts from shipping and transportation. However if you have a specific species or exotic wood in mind (if import is available) I should be able to accommodate most requests. I’m pretty familiar with native species and often there are domestic woods that are very similar to imported exotics.
