It’s been a busy few months getting ready for Unbound Gravel! 🚴‍♂️ I worked with Tallgrass Wood Sawmill in Emporia, Kansas, helping cut logs for this year’s trophies.  🌲

After the logs were milled into rough boards, they had to dry for six or seven weeks. Once the moisture dropped to about 10-12%, I hauled them back to my shop. From there, I turned those boards into the finished trophies that’ll be handed out at this year’s race. 🏆

There’s plenty of sanding, shaping, and care that goes into each trophy. They’re not fancy, but they’re solid, and I’m proud to say they’re made with the same kind of hard work and persistence the riders put into Unbound Gravel.

For those who aren’t familiar, Unbound Gravel is the biggest gravel race in the world. 🌎 Every year, thousands of riders come to Emporia to tackle tough terrain and push their limits. I’m honored to play a small role in recognizing their effort.

I’ll also have a booth at the All Things Gravel Expo again this year. 🏞️ If you’re around, come by and say hi. I always enjoy hearing stories from the riders—it’s a real highlight of the weekend!
